***For the Ladies***? 😜

For those who don’t know me too well, I’m pretty high maintenance. I love having my eyebrows waxed perfectly, hair on point, and my makeup flawless. On a candid note, I’ve never had a brazilian or bikini wax but always wanted to and decided it was time to give it a try. I was a little scared but i wanted to experience it.

I was doing some research and read that sugaring (which is a process where they take sugar, water, and lemon and it makes a gooey wax) is much healthier and less painful than traditional wax. After some short but extensive research I found a sugaring place right here in LA. The place I decided to try was Sugared and Bronzed  in Beverly Hills. I worked up the nerve and scheduled an appointment.

After parking on a side street, (Plenty of meter parking) I rolled in ready but nervous. Coming through the entrance was a flat inclined ramp. Once inside the ladies at the front desk friendly welcome me and checked me in. They offered complimentary coffee and water in the waiting area. This location was all on one floor so i was very happy about the accessibility!

My esthetician and her trainee entered the room and explained the process. You know the obvious; undress from the waist down, lay down on your back and…so on and so forth. I was assisted onto the table and with my legs which was helpful since i can’t hold my legs myself and it started. The hair removal process can be painful for anyone but the process was quick and effective. The room was comfortable and soft soulful jams played in the surrounding speakers. It was a memorable experience.

Thank you to the professional sugar experts! I survived my first brazilian wax and I can say it wasn’t too bad and I can’t wait to visit the ladies of sugared and bronzed again. I appreciate them for being accessible, accommodating and exceeding my expectations.

{Now you may automatically think since it’s in BH it must be expensive. But the prices are pretty reasonable and are close/cheaper than traditional waxing.}
